Çо÷°èȹ¼­( Statement of Purpose, Statement of Academic Purpose, Study Plan)´Â ÀÔÇÐÀ» À§ÇØ Á¦ÃâÇØ¾ß µÇ´Â °Íµé Áß Áß¿äÇÑ ÇϳªÀÌ´Ù. ƯÈ÷ ÇкΠÆíÀÔ, Graduate ÄÚ½º Áö¿øÀÚµéÀº ¸Å¿ì Áß¿äÇÑ ºÎºÐÀÌ´Ù. ¼®»ç°úÁ¤ÀÇ °æ¿ì Çб³ÀÇ ·©Å·ÀÌ ¿Ã¶ó °¥¼ö·Ï Áß¿äÇÏ°í ¶Ç ¼®»ç°úÁ¤º¸´Ù´Â ¹Ú»ç°úÁ¤¿¡¼­ ´õ¿í Áß¿ä½ÃµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ ¹Ù·Î ÀÌ Statement of Purpose´Ù. ƯÈ÷ ¹Ú»ç°úÁ¤¿¡¼­´Â ¾î´À Á¤µµ ±¸Ã¼ÀûÀ¸·Î  ¿¬±¸ÇÏ·Á´Â ºÐ¾ß¸¦ À̾߱â ÇØ¾ß ÇϹǷΠÀ̰ÍÀº ÀÔÇÐ »çÁ¤¿¡ Å« ¿µÇâ°ú  °áÁ¤Àû ¿ªÇÒÀ» µÉ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù. °æ¿ì¿¡ µû¶ó¼­´Â ´Ù¸¥ ÀÔÇÐ ½Åû ½Ã ºÎÁ·ÇÑ ºÎºÐ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ °í·Á¿Í ÀÌÇØ¸¦ ±â¼ú ÇÒ ¼öµµ ÀÖ´Ù. 
´Ù¸¥ GPA, GRE, TOEFLµîÀÌ ÁÁÀº ¼ºÀûÀÌ¶óµµ ÀÌ Statement of Purpose¸¦ Àß ¸ø½á¼­ ¼öÁØÀÌÇÏ·Î º¸ÀÏ °æ¿ì  ÀÔÇÐÀÌ ¾î·Æ´Ù°í ÇÒ ¼öµµ ÀÖ´Ù. Áï,  ÀÚÁúÀº ÁÁÀ¸³ª ¿µ¾î Writing ´É·ÂÀÌ ³Ê¹« ³·´Ù°í Æò°¡µÉ ¼ö ÀÖ°í, ³»¿ë¿¡¼­µµ ÇлýÀÌ ¹«½¼ °øºÎ¸¦ ÇÏ°í ½ÍÀºÁö ºÒºÐ¸íÇÏ°Ô º¸ÀÏ ¼ö Àֱ⠶§¹®ÀÌ´Ù.

       Determine the content of your statement.
         Be sure to answer any questions fully. Analyze the questions or guidance statements for     
        the essay completely and answer all parts. Usually graduate and professional schools
        are interested in the following matters, although the form of the question(s) and the responses
        may vary:

  • Your purpose in graduate study. This means you must have thought this through before you try to answer the question.

  • The area of study in which you wish to specialize. This requires that you know the
    field well enough to make a decision and are able to state your preferences using the language of the field.

  • Your intended future use of your graduate study. This will include your career goals
    and plans for the future.

  • Your special preparation and fitness for study in the field. This is the opportunity to
    join and correlate your academic background with your extracurricular experience to show
    how they unite to make you a special candidate.

  • Any problems or inconsistencies in your records or scores, such as a bad semester. Be sure to explain in a positive manner and justify the explanation. Since this is
    a rebuttal argument, it should be followed by a positive statement of your abilities. In some instances, it may be more appropriate to provide this information outside of the personal statement.

  • Any special conditions that are not revealed elsewhere in the application, such
    as a significant (35 hour per week) workload outside of school.
    This, too, should be followed with a positive statement about yourself and your future.

  • You may be asked, "Why do you wish to attend this school?" This requires that you have done your research about the school, and know what its special appeal is to you.

  • Above all, this statement should contain information about you as a person. They know nothing about you unless you tell them. You are the subject of the statement.
